Andre came to 1440 Pine in December 2019 as a referral from Boulder County, as one of the ten reserved apartments for young people aging out of the foster care system in our county. While at 1440 Pine, Andre engaged in case management, life skills groups, and pro-social activities. During his stay at 1440 Pine, Andre obtained his CNA Certification and promptly gained and has maintained employment as a long-term care provider. He has the goal of saving enough money to move into independent housing within the next year, and is working with his Transition Specialist to make that into a reality.
