Nest56 Affordable Housing for Homeless Youth IN Denver, CO
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING IN DENVER. PREVENTING LONG-TERM HOMELESSNESS.
56 units of affordable housing for young adults experiencing homelessness + supportive services
One of the most significant barriers that young people face on the road to stability is a lack of affordable housing. Recognizing this gap, in 2015 TGTHR began partnering with experienced affordable housing developers to create affordable housing communities with services dedicated to young people who are experiencing homelessness. These services are informed by the experiences and expertise of the young people that we serve to support tenants on their path to housing stability; which is a critical and necessary component of a successful transition into adulthood for any young person.
Research shows that the most critical time to prevent chronic homelessness is between the ages of 18 and 24. Low-barrier housing for young adults experiencing homelessness, coupled with supportive services, increases housing stability and promotes positive outcomes in employment, education, and well-being. TGTHR’s housing programs put young people on a path toward long-term stability and help prevent them from re-experiencing homelessness.
