Johan Smet is a business strategy and finance executive with over 25 years of international leadership experience across technology and consulting industries. He brings deep expertise in strategy development, financial planning, and organizational leadership, having guided global teams and advised senior executives in both established corporations and growth environments.
He most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Finance at Trimble Inc., a $4B global technology company, where he led international teams, supported strategic decision-making, and implemented initiatives that improved transparency, efficiency, and long-term growth. He held several General Manager and Strategic Finance roles in which he turned around underperforming businesses and integrated acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Johan worked in management consulting with Bain & Company, advising companies in technology, financial services, and manufacturing on strategic growth and operational effectiveness.
Originally from Belgium and fluent in multiple languages, Johan has lived in Boulder since 2016, with his wife, family and dog. He is the proud father of three: a daughter living in New York, a son attending graduate school in California, and his youngest daughter, who is a student at Fairview High School.
