Before moving to Boulder in July 2020, Emily Weinberg was Executive Director of Dress for Success Permian Basin, the 153rd affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide in Odessa, Texas. With the quote in mind, “how can I be useful to others, so I can in turn empower myself,” she started Dress for Success Permian Basin to create a place where women who are economically challenged can start their own path to empowerment and job security.
Previously, Emily was a business consultant with and assistant director of the Small Business Development Center, a non-profit organization that helps business owners start and grow their companies. An avid supporter of small business and entrepreneurial opportunity, Emily is a QuickBooks consultant and bookkeeper for clients who run their own businesses. Before advising people on how to open and run successful businesses, she designed, owned, and operated Brooklyn Pizza Company in Tucson, AZ. She wanted to continue slinging pizzas when she moved to Odessa, TX, so she opened another pizzeria, Jersey Girl Pizza and Juice Joint.
Emily’s favorite band is The National, and she likes to run and speed walk to 90’s dance hits.
