Impact Gala 2021: TGTHR Under the Stars

A Night of Good Times and Great Work

On September 11th, 2021, over 210 folks came together to celebrate the successes of the young people at TGTHR’s 14th Annual Gala and Fundraiser. In the form of virtual participation and host parties, we had a successful night bidding on fun getaways and supporting an incredible cause. We congratulated our 3rd Youth Enterprise Award recipient, Gianna (she/her/hers) for her hard work and dedication. Her perseverance through self-improvement and participation in building up her community on the tenant association made her the perfect candidate.

Together we raised over $280k to support youth facing homelessness in our community! These generous donations will ensure that our programs remain operational for this young population in the coming year. Thank you to all who participated. We are left feeling inspired by the overwhelming volume of support that came in from all across the country. 

A Glimpse Into What We Do

These successes just scratch the surface of the good work we can accomplish at TGTHR. Since January 2021, we have served 43 youth previously in the foster care system, 67 youth who reported a family breakup or conflict as their reason for seeking shelter, 55 youth with previous experience of human trafficking/exploitation, and 17 LGBTQ+ youth who reported family rejection as their reason for seeking shelter. There is more work to be done in supporting the youth in our community. TGTHR we will end youth homelessness and with participation and support in events like our Annual Gala and Sleep Out we will reach that goal. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the Sleep Out in 2022!
